Small Accounts Representative

McGraw-Hill Education has an immediate opening for an experienced and strategic Small Accounts Representative based remotely in Indiana. (Candidates living outside of Indiana will not be considered for this role.) Reporting to a District Manager, the Small Accounts Representative will be responsible for driving sales revenue across smaller K-12 accounts. This role will be 80% Inside Sales and 20% Outside Sales.
Your contribution to the team includes:
Attaining and surpassing sales goal with the proven ability to "advance" the sale and build customer relationships to maintain and expand market penetration.
Developing understanding and knowledge of digital innovation.
Proficiently using and adapting to multiple software programs, platforms, and devices.
Creating and executing marketing and strategic territory plans, with excellent organization and follow-through. Prioritizing customer base and ensuring availability, visibility, and promotional activity with respect to that base.
Developing and maintaining customer profiles, building new contacts/customers, identifying, and influencing customer needs.
Communicating internally and externally to influence sales, marketing, and product development strategies.
Learning independently; conducting research, synthesizing and applying information from a variety of resources.
Conducting targeted customer outreach by phone and email to build and maintain pipeline.
Managing company resources, including company credit card, home office, and computer equipment.
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree.
At least three years' experience in teaching, educational sales, or inside sales.
Microsoft software skills: Outlook and Power Point (basic), Word and Excel (intermediate).
Exhibit excellent presentation skills for all types of audiences.
Travel up to 20-30% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Valid driver's license.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
