To get there, we need Energy Program Managers.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategy and executing programs that reduce carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of our facilities and emerging business operations.
This role will be responsible for managing project implementations that help reduce energy and carbon across our North American facilities.
This candidate will work with stakeholders across multiple business units to identify, develop, and execute energy and carbon reduction projects, initiatives, and integrate energy management concepts into existing and new facilities.
Projects may involve energy efficiency, demand response, energy analytics, and other carbon reduction opportunities.
The candidate will help analyze and provide report-out's on performance metrics, complete feasibility analysis, and evaluate potential savings opportunities within the energy and carbon space.
Key job responsibilitieso Manage projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against our Climate Pledge goalso Drive continuous energy efficiency improvement in the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) and building management systems (BMS) spaceo Deep diving (troubleshooting) and unblocking issues that are prohibiting teams from pursuing energy reduction initiativeso Assist in the preparation of written analysis of findings and recommendations for various energy and carbon related solutionso Coordinate with other teams to support the development and expansion of HVAC analytics toolso Work with critical stakeholders on developing mechanisms for launching facilities that incorporate energy optimization and sustainability procedures from Day 1o Drive/support mechanical system design change requests that reduce energy consumption.
o Analyze and communicate the financial impact of projects and initiatives (payback, return on investment- ROI, net present value- NPV, etc.
)o Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneouslyo Support additional sustainability goals as the team's scope expands (water and waste reduction)o Travel domestically up to 10% A day in the lifeThis role will ensure RME teams are continually pursuing energy reduction opportunities and developing the necessary mechanisms to maintain these optimization protocols.
About the teamThe RME Energy team ensures our teams are leading and/or supporting sustainability initiatives that help Amazon meet the Climate Pledge commitments.
RME maintains the most energy intensive systems in a facility and is a critical stakeholder in Amazon's carbon reduction work.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
