HR Program Manager, Comp Policy role is focusing on creating effective mechanism to govern compensation related policy to ensure appropriateness, consistency and equity.
The role will work on legal and compliance programs / projects to ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.
This role will work closely with teams within and outside compensation teams and the impacts will be at global level with high visibility.
The candidate must possess strong project/program management skills and be comfortable working autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment.
To be successful, the candidate needs to be a strategic thinker focusing on long-term large-scale solution and a hands-on operator rolling up sleeves to fix issues when needed.
Strong attention to details and exceptional organizational skills are both preferred qualities.
Key job responsibilitiesEstablish the overall compensation policy governance model and manage the overall process of policy creation, review/update, implementation and deprecationInspect existing compensation policies to discover policy gaps and implementation defects and create solution to address themReview compensation practices to identify process improvement opportunities and create/enhance tools to further automate the processProvide support to product managers to write accurate business requirement to support policy implementationAssess change management needs and create overall communication plan for policy rolloutProgram manage and partner on legal and compliance projects to ensure Amazon is in compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulationsAbout the teamAmazon Compensation Programs Team is in charge of leveraging compensation infrastructure to carry out Amazon's compensation philosophy, leading global programs to drive standardization and optimization, and providing quality support to ensure best employee experience and operational excellence.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
